Qualification Description:

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform various tasks on various diesel engines and associated systems in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

The AUR31520 Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology qualification is for students who want to develop their skills and knowledge in the automotive repair industry.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, analyse, evaluate, design and modify automotive mechanical systems.

Entry requirements:

INTERNATIONAL

English requirements: Completion of year 11 or equivalent. (Subject to the assessment and approval of UTA Institute of Technology Admission team.)

  • Successful completion of minimum Year 11 in Australia or equivalent in student’s country of origin OR
  • Holders of an AQF qualification level III and above OR
  • Applicants with no formal qualification and have experience within the industry may also be considered.
  • Be 18 years of age or above
  • A minimum English level of IELTS 5 or equivalent.

 

Duration:

  • International: 32 weeks (8 months) of full-time study, including 10 weeks of scheduled breaks.
