Body Repair, this qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of body repair in the automotive industry. This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks when repairing and maintaining the body of the light and heavy vehicles and other vehicles in the automotive service and repair sector.

The body repair qualification covers repairing a vehicles body and components which include:
Removing damaged panels
Removing dents using a hammer
Straightening the vehicle’s damaged body and parts through the use of hydraulic machinery and tools
Replacing damaged sections with new or second-hand parts
Filling depressions with plastic filler
Grinding, sanding and filling repaired surfaces
Cutting and joining replacement donor sections using welding tools
Fitting repaired or new panels, doors, locks and trims.
Assisting of vehicle body builders in constructing custom-designed, vintage and special vehicles
Spray painting vehicle bodies

Course Descriptions
To achieve this qualification, you must successfully complete 30 units of competency. On completion, you will be awarded the Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology.
Students who partly complete the program will be issued a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
