This course targets automotive mechanical and electrical technicians who require the skills and knowledge to inspect and service hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) systems and components in an automotive workplace. Our hybrid vehicle training courses are comprehensive and designed by experts.

Qualification And Recognition
Students who complete the program will be issued a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
Entry Requirements
- Being employed in an automotive garage (full-time or part-time) and have access to workplace observation and supervision by a supervisor.
- Possess a Certificate III, trade qualification or higher level qualification in Automotive
- Have at least 1 year automotive industry experience, and have current industry knowledge and skills of using automotive tools and equipment.
- Be physically fit to fulfil the training and assessment requirements of this program.
Units of Compitency
- AURETH011 Depower and reinitialise hybrid electric vehicles
- AURETH012 Service and maintain electrical components in hybrid electric vehicles
- AURETH10 Diagnose and repair high voltage rechargeable energy storage systems in hybrid electric vehicles
- Training will be delivered at UTA Institute of Technology, 58 Newlands Road, Reservoir, Victoria 3073.Location of training:

Material and Equipment That Students Must Provide
Students must bring their own personal protection equipment to class. Personal protection equipment must include a minimum of: steel cap shoes, safety glasses and overall or equivalent.
