Who we are
UTA Institute of Technology (UTAIT) is an Australian vocational education and training provider based in Reservoir, Melbourne. As a registered training organisation, we support people entering the automotive industry, experienced technicians expanding their capabilities, and businesses investing in their teams. Our approach connects classroom learning with supervised practical training using real vehicles, diagnostic equipment and realistic workshop tasks.
Our purpose-built automotive facilities include dedicated body repair and paint workshop areas, giving students opportunities to practise the techniques and processes used in industry. We draw on industry relationships and products from suppliers such as 3M, Bayford and specialist automotive paint and body repair suppliers to keep learning connected to contemporary workshop practice. Across mechanical, electrical, body repair and emerging vehicle technologies, our focus is clear: skills students can apply with confidence.
